Technician 1 Temp Control

About the Role

You’ll be based out of our Baltimore, MD service center, performing preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors. You will troubleshoot equipment failures both at the shop and on customer locations, handling repairs independently or as part of a team to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer sites.
• Set up and operate equipment on customer sites, either independently or as part of a team.
• Calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Read and interpret schematics.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications such as a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card based on customer requirements.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs (with specific physical demands including lifting up to 60 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 80 lbs, and carrying up to 60 lbs).
• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods; navigate uneven terrain; and perform tasks requiring functional balance, range of motion, finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and grip strength.
• Must pass a post-offer physical abilities assessment, including climbing stairs and ladders while carrying objects (up to 15 lbs), stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations if needed, and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts.

Pay

Pay range: $35.00 to $45.00 an hour.
