Technician 1- Temp Control

Responsibilities

• Based out of the Santa Fe Springs, CA service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil‑free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
• Work independently or as part of a team to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading/knowing schematics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card as required by customer.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations, and be on standby for work outside regular shifts.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods; walk over uneven terrain; move extremities and spine through a functional range of motion.
• Good finger dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and sufficient grip strength to safely hold tools and railings/ladders.
• Must meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post‑offer physical abilities assessment (lift 60 lbs, push/pull 80 lbs, carry 60 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, climb while carrying 15 lbs, stoop, kneel, squat).

Pay

Pay range: $33.00 to $52.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full‑time with potential for overtime and/or weekends.
