Technician 1, Tablet Repair

About the role

ViaPath is looking for a Technician 1, Tablet Repair to join our growing team. This role supports the analysis and repair of high volumes of Android tablet computers in a climate-controlled warehouse. The position is for second shift, with schedule subject to change based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis on computer tablets, assess functionality, replace components as needed, and maintain repair records
• Perform CTP screen and battery replacements
• Perform board-level component replacement (e.g., auxiliary and USB jacks) requiring soldering
• Disassemble and work with small, delicate components and reassemble correctly
• Provide recommendations for problem resolution
• Meet all requirements to successfully pass training and established KPIs for tablet repair
• Consistently meet daily targets for correctly repairing tablets free from defects and passing Quality Control review
• Be organized, thorough, and accurate while diagnosing and repairing tablets

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• A minimum of 1 year of related repair experience (tablet, cell phone, etc.)
• Soldering skills preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Positive, can-do, team-oriented attitude
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective repairs
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Willingness to learn and a great attitude
• Ability to disassemble and work with small delicate components and reassemble correctly
• Basic computer skills; MS Office suite a plus
