About the role
The Repair Technician performs repair and/or service work on Company products following prescribed procedures. The role involves using a variety of hand tools and small power tools to disassemble and repair customer tools. Each technician has access to a computer for reviewing Tool Service Bulletins, pack-out instructions for reconditioned tools, and parts or tools collected for Quality Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Perform all necessary repairs on tools and equipment.
- Read and comprehend repair order information and parts schematics.
- Diagnose tools by performing complete function tests.
- Confirm repairs by conducting full function tests.
- Complete repair order forms with accurate information.
- Disassemble units, diagnose operating issues, and replace worn or defective parts within specified timeframes.
- Assist in other areas of the cell, including 5S projects.
- Determine the feasibility of repairs.
- Keep records of parts used and provide data for billing and/or warranty purposes.
- Identify and report operational irregularities and defective materials.
- Set up and perform electrical and mechanical tests to ensure repairs meet quality standards.
- Work from parts sheets, specifications, and drawings.
- Perform prescribed inspections.
- Under the supervision of the Lead Technician, make recommendations regarding warranty liability and unusual repair problems.
- Maintain quality of work, safety, and housekeeping in the assigned area.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed.

- Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of parts and containers.
- Able to work in various temperature conditions.
