About the role
Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 1 Power or HVAC based in Dallas, TX. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers’ worlds on. What You’ll Do
You’ll be based out of our Dallas, TX service center.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors
- Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs
- Either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites
Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- 4+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
- Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics
- Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs

Physical Requirements
- Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
- Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
- Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
- Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
- Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
