Responsibilities

• Based out of the Sayreville, NJ service center with daily local travel in a company vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, and/or oil‑free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
• Work independently or as part of a team to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.
• Opportunity to work overtime and weekends, with potential for travel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1‑3 years of experience working on power generators equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading/knowing schematics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card if required by customer.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations as needed, and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts.
• Physical demands: able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods; walk over uneven terrain with functional balance; move extremities and spine through a full range of motion; good finger dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and grip strength to safely hold tools and railings/ladders; meet the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment (lift 60 lbs, push/pull 80 lbs, carry 60 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, combine climbing while carrying 15 lbs, stoop, kneel, squat).

Pay

Hourly range $30.00‑$36.00 per hour.
