Responsibilities
- Maintain preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, and electrical/electronic systems
- Diagnose and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, logic controls, PLCs, motor drives (Servo and VFD), and external I/O devices
- Communicate technical issues effectively to associates, leadership, and suppliers to minimize equipment downtime
- Complete work orders, records, logs, and other documentation according to established procedures
- Operate material handling equipment, battery-powered equipment, and other powered machinery safely
- Maintain a customer service-oriented approach while addressing technical issues
Requirements
- Coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2 years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology OR 3 years industrial maintenance experience in electronic technology (including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment)
- PLC/PC programming knowledge and troubleshooting experience
- Hands-on industrial electrical experience, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial control devices/networking
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to business leadership
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Requirements
- Associate’s degree in electronic technology with 2 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience
- Experience maintaining automated equipment in a distribution center environment
