IS Technician I

Primary Accountability

IS Technician I is responsible for the installation, configuration, repair and preventative maintenance of personal computers, mobile devices, printers and related equipment.

Description Of Primary Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains software and hardware.
• Upgrades, repairs and replaces computer-related equipment.
• Provides training and instruction to personal computer users.
• Assists computer users in resolving issues.
• Aids in planning, installation and maintenance of local and wide area networks.

Description Of Primary Attributes

• Professional & Technical Knowledge: Requires possession of work-related skills beyond high school, including formal written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, mathematical, and technical skills.
• Technical Skills: Ability to prepare more complex documents in Microsoft Word, use Microsoft Excel to review and compile data, and create basic presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid CA driver’s license and car insurance is required.
• Communications Skills: Job duties require the compilation of information prepared in effective written form, including correspondence, reports, articles or other documentation. Effectively conveys technical information to non-technical audiences.

Physical Demands

• Sit and use repetitive hand movements to type and grasp.
• Frequently stand or walk.
• Sometimes stoop, reach above and below shoulder height, squat, climb, lift up to 30 pounds.
• Work in cold and hot weather.
• Travel from site to site and to other non-FHCN locations.
