The Facility Technician I for our Reidsville, NC facility will be responsible for performing all assigned warehouse duties safely and responsibly. This includes Forklift experience required. Forklift work- loading and strapping trailers. Organizing inventory (boxes, drums, waste, pallets) in the warehouse. Utilizing drum grabbers, a safe work mentality, and scanning material. Understanding of the following processes and a strong teamwork mentality. Shift: 1st shift 6am-5pm (Mon-Fri) Pay: $18.50 Why work for Clean Harbors? Health and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5!Competitive pay and benefitsComprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employmentGroup 401K with company matching componentGenerous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursementPositive and safe work environmentsOpportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career Work Environment Industrial warehouse and waste processing facilityFacility handles hazardous and non-hazardous waste streamsExposure to strong odors associated with waste handling operationsFrequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and manual labor activitiesAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis Must be able to work indoors and outdoors as operational needs require Responsibilities Handle, sort, move, and process hazardous and non-hazardous waste materialsPerform waste container handling, staging, labeling, and inventory activitiesLoad and unload materials and containers in accordance with company proceduresInspect containers and work areas to ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirementsOperate equipment and tools as trained and authorizedMaintain housekeeping standards throughout the facilityAssist with facility operations and general labor activities as assignedLift, carry, push, pull, and move materials, containers, and equipment weighing up to 50 poundsFollow all company, OSHA, DOT, EPA, and site-specific safety requirementsUtilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing job dutiesWork safely in an industrial environment with exposure to strong odors and waste materials This position requires the use of company-provided PPE, which includes respirator, safety glasses, protective gloves, protective footwear, additional PPE as required by task or work area. A respirator fit test is required and is completed during the pre-employment physical examination and drug screening process. Employees must be able to meet respirator fit requirements, including maintaining a clean-shaven seal area when required. Qualifications What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?
