About the role
A technical writer is needed to produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation for software products. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating user manuals, API guides, and other technical documents.
Responsibilities
- Create and update technical documentation for software products.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and ensure accuracy of documentation.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and aligned with product development cycles.
- Conduct research and gather information from various sources to inform documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical writing or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and ability to work within Agile environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- Experience with technical writing tools such as Confluence, Jira, or similar.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web-based documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Skills
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with API documentation and RESTful services.
