Technical Writer - Instructional Design

About the Opportunity:The TECHNICAL WRITER - INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER develops clear and effective learning materials that support SAP training and enablement for clients. The role involves collaborating with subject matter experts and technical teams to translate SAP business processes into accessible content, applying instructional design methods and documentation standards. This position contributes by creating training resources that enhance user understanding and support successful system adoption. Responsibilities:Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and document instructional requirements.Communicate with team members and stakeholders to clarify technical concepts and ensure content accuracy.Assist in developing training content including user guides, job aids, quick reference cards, and presentations.Document SAP business processes, workflows, user actions, and system procedures using standardized templates.Incorporate visual elements like screenshots, diagrams, and process flows to improve learning materials.Participate in designing interactive instructional activities to engage new SAP users.Follow style guides, version control, and review cycles; submit drafts for review.Evaluate and update documentation and training materials based on feedback and system changes.Support preparation and logistics for training sessions including materials and resources.Adhere to certified processes ensuring quality and information security, including participation in quality assurance and protection of sensitive information. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Instructional Design, Education, or related field, or equivalent experience.1-3 years of relevant experience with a degree, or 2-3 years without (including internships, apprenticeships, military experience).Experience or coursework in instructional design, technical writing, or graphic design.Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and consistency.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and processes.U.S. citizenship required.Must be able to obtain and maintain an active government clearance. Pay Range and Compensation Package:The expected compensation for this position is $26/hr to $35/hr, determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
