About the role

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company dedicated to transforming military capabilities with advanced technology. The Deployments Tech Writing team works closely with engineering and program delivery functions to support high-profile and demanding government programs.

Responsibilities

• Generate, review, and edit s1000d data modules in Siemens Rapid Author
• Create user-focused documentation for task, condition, and standard-centric purposes
• Communicate and manage expectations, noting risks and sharing with leadership
• Evaluate and prioritize tasks to ensure product documentation efforts stay on track
• Ensure stakeholders are engaged at the right time and guide them towards completed user-facing documents meeting customer needs
• Partner with account, product, and engineering teams throughout product development to ensure users have the right documentation

Qualifications

• 4+ years of demonstrated excellence in generating technical documentation
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering documentation
• Experience building DOD-focused content in XML
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
• Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local

Priorities

• Experience creating S1000D data modules, especially MIL-STD-3048 experience
• Previous experience creating technical documentation in Aerospace and Defense (for DoD)
• Military exposure and experience, particularly with military technical documentation writing and formatting standards, guidelines, and verbiage
• Prior military aviation service
• Experience documenting software release content in an Agile environment
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with emphasis on technical subjects
• Passion for excellent documentation and user experience

Pay

The salary range for this role is $112,000 - $149,000 USD. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
