Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain technical specifications and the Manual of Design Criteria;
• Develop technical documents to support design, construction, contracts, and operations processes for capital and non-capital projects;
• Prepare policy and procedure documentation;
• Maintain the most up-to-date versions of technical standards in an orderly manner;
• Conduct timely technical reviews of draft documents;
• Perform additional assignments as directed by the Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or a related field;
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in preparing technical specifications and documents for rail transit projects;
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments;
• Extensive experience with all Microsoft Office applications;
• Ability to write clearly and professionally;
• Ability to produce communications quickly and efficiently;
• General knowledge of rail transit agencies' design standards for architecture, engineering and construction, as well as safety and security regulations such as fixed-rail clearances, level-boarding, and OSHA policies.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with standard processes and procedures of technical specifications;
• Professional Engineer (PE) License or Registered Architect (RA);
• Certified Construction Specifier;
• Security Clearance Requirement: None.

$103,500.00 - $181,100.00
