Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents for software, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and hardware
- Create system-level documentation and assembly/test procedures in partnership with technical teams
- Create instruction manuals, how-to guides, and journal articles to simplify complex information
- Participate in project team meetings and reviews, maintaining document configuration control
- Afford photos, diagrams, and tables to enhance technical content
- Afford web pages, wikis, presentations, and reports, including graphical content
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with proven writing, copy editing, and organizational skills
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing within an engineering and fabrication environment
- Experience writing manuals, test plans, and procedures for technical audiences
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work with interdisciplinary staff to determine documentation needs
Qualifications
- Interim Secret clearance, with a strong preference for active Secret Clearance and ability to obtain TS
