Responsibilities
- Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences.
- Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, network schematics, engineering illustrations, and operational views.
- Translates complex data into user-friendly text for print and electronic publications, such as technical journals, user and training manuals, government proposals, websites and podcasts.
- Gathers information through research, statistical reports and interviews with technical staff.
- Selects or recommends use of layouts, graphics, drawings, tables, exhibits, illustrations, charts, or storyboards to amplify or clarify publications objectives.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma with 9+ years (or commensurate) experience.
- Active Security Clearance: Secret.
- Experience supporting DoW, Federal Government, or National Guard programs.
- Demonstrated ability to translate highly technical information into clear, concise, and well-organized documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of documentation lifecycle management, configuration management, and version control practices.
- Knowledge developing SOPs, technical manuals, implementation guides, and operational documentation.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration/document management platforms (e.g., SharePoint, ServiceNow, or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise IT modernization or infrastructure deployment programs.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, and DoW cybersecurity documentation requirements.
- Experience working in Agile, DevSecOps, or hybrid project environments.
- Knowledge of networking, virtualization, cloud technologies, or enterprise systems administration.
- Experience documenting enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, or systems engineering activities.
- Eligibility for base access and installation credentials (CAC required).
Benefits
This role works on-site with potential remote flexibility in the United States, with occasional travel up to 25%.
Pay
USD $110,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
