Technical Writer

Primary Responsibilities

• Observe, take notes and photos, and work with Subject Matter Experts to gather information.
• Analyze information to produce high-quality documentation.
• Ensure current document standards are followed.
• Collaborate with other writers to improve document standards.
• Gather customer feedback to improve content, usability, and meet expectations.
• Edit documentation to ensure consistent, accurate information.
• Adjust responsibilities, time, and priorities with supervisor input to meet business and team objectives.
• Promote a safe culture for yourself and those around you.
• Solve documentation issues using existing practices and procedures.
• Audit document distribution and note discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and 1 year of writing experience or a high school diploma with 3 years of writing experience.

• Basic Qualifications: Live the ATI Core Values, observe plant PPE standards, write clearly, concisely, and accurately, collaborate with diverse teams, learn quickly and understand complex subject matter and new tools, ensure instructions are accurate and error free, break down complex concepts and organize information, manage time and meet deadlines, ability to use resources to find answers, proficiency of Microsoft Office Software Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field is preferred. 2 years' experience writing procedural documents. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. High attention to detail. Ability to work quickly and meet deadlines. Strong sense of ownership with follow through. Ability to use resources to find answers. Proficiency of Microsoft Office Software Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
