Role Overview

Beehive Industries is seeking a Technical Training & Standard Work Manager (Contractor) to help build and execute our engine assembly training program as we transition from development into production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a structured technical training program for engine assembly technicians.

  • Develop training curricula for new hires, cross-training, and advanced qualification.

  • Create training plans that support production scaling and workforce flexibility.

  • Develop qualification standards, practical evaluations, and certification records for critical assembly tasks.

  • Convert tribal knowledge into standardized work instructions and training materials.

  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Development Assembly, and Manufacturing Operations to document current-state assembly processes.

  • Create:

    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

    • Work Instructions

    • Visual job aids

    • Assembly guides

    • Training videos

    • Process flow documentation

    • Checklists

  • Maintain revision control of training documentation as processes mature.

  • Deliver classroom and on-the-job technical training.

  • Coach technicians during engine assembly operations.

  • Observe work practices and provide immediate feedback.

  • Evaluate technician proficiency and recommend qualification status.

  • Support onboarding of new manufacturing operations employees.

  • Identify gaps in documentation, training effectiveness, and standard work.

  • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to improve repeatability and reduce variation.

  • Capture lessons learned and incorporate them into training materials.

  • Recommend improvements that increase safety, quality, and assembly efficiency.

  • Ensure training content remains aligned with current engineering revisions and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or other complex manufacturing environments.

  • Demonstrated experience assembling highly engineered mechanical systems.

  • Experience developing technical training programs or manufacturing work instructions.

  • Ability to translate complex technical processes into clear, repeatable training content.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of precision assembly practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable working in rapidly changing environments where processes continue to evolve.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Ability to work independently while influencing cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting production ramp-up from prototype or development into production.

  • Experience with gas turbine engines, propulsion systems, aerospace assemblies, or rotating machinery.

  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering, Technical Training, Industrial Engineering, or Production Operations.

  • Experience managing a Learning Management Systems (LMS).

  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems.

  • Experience creating technical illustrations, videos, or digital work instructions.

  • Experience using PLM, MES, or electronic work instruction systems.

  • Ability to work on the manufacturing floor for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.

  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform hands-on assembly demonstrations.

  • Ability to use standard manufacturing tools and equipment.

  • Occasional travel may be required to support other Beehive facilities.
