Technical Training Specialist

About the role

A Technical Training Specialist at REI (Research Electronics International) will develop and maintain training materials for REI equipment and TSCM-related topics, assist lead instructors, create new curriculum, maintain training equipment, materials, and project rooms, support sales and marketing at trade shows and technical events, and collaborate with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain course materials for REI equipment and TSCM-related topics
• Assist lead instructors during training at REI’s facility and off-site worldwide
• Create new curriculum for future TSCM courses
• Maintain training equipment, materials, and project rooms
• Support Sales & Marketing at trade shows and technical events
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to test and evaluate REI products
• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Electronics technical schooling or equivalent
• Experience teaching or training in a technical environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in classroom/office settings

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• Technical background in TSCM operations
• Law enforcement or intelligence experience

Work Environment & Travel

This role is based in a general office environment at our Cookeville, TN headquarters. You'll also have opportunities for worldwide travel (10–25%) to lead or support training events.
