Technical Training Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Operations Training Manager to lead the development and execution of training programs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will play a critical role in improving workforce capability, standardizing processes, and driving operational performance through effective training and organizational development initiatives.
About the role
This role will partner closely with leadership, production, quality, and safety teams to ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to perform at a high level in a clean room manufacturing floor based in Clinton, TN.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement training programs for production, safety, quality, and operational processes.
- Evaluate current training gaps and build scalable programs to support workforce onboarding and continuous training initiatives for new and existing employees.
- Partner with operations leadership to align training with business goals and production targets.
- Standardize work instructions, SOPs, and training documentation across the facility.
- Track and measure training effectiveness through KPIs, performance metrics, and feedback loops.
- Support organizational development efforts including change management and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory training requirements.
- Facilitate both classroom and hands-on training sessions in a manufacturing setting.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in training, learning & development, or organizational development within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment; line experience is a plus.
- Proven experience building and implementing training programs from the ground up.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and plant operations.
- Experience working cross-functionally with operations, quality, and safety teams.
- Ability to create structured training materials, SOPs, and process documentation.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in packaging, food & beverage, or high-speed manufacturing environments.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with LMS (Learning Management Systems) and training tracking tools.
- Experience supporting organizational change or workforce transformation initiatives.
Pay
$42.00 - $50.00/hr.
