Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain technical training programs for maintenance personnel supporting Production and Midstream operations.
- Design competency-based training plans and learning roadmaps that align with operational, regulatory, and business requirements.
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define training objectives, course content, and final curriculum requirements.
- Serve as the primary interface between Operations, Training, Competency Advisors, and governance councils to ensure training effectiveness and compliance.
- Work closely with the Training Supervisor to ensure site training plans meet corporate standards, best practices, and Operations Training System requirements.
- Support certification, qualification, and compliance tracking for maintenance personnel across assigned business units.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts for technical training programs, instructional materials, and delivery methods.
- Provide guidance on Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies and adult learning principles.
- Support Learning Management Systems (LMS), including system optimization, database functionality, reporting, metrics development, troubleshooting, and complex issue resolution.
- Develop and deliver classroom, field, and hands-on technical instruction while effectively engaging large groups.
- Promote safe work practices and integrate SSHE (Safety, Security, Health & Environment) principles throughout all training activities.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, HR, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure training aligns with organizational goals.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and directives.
- Influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct supervisory authority.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience developing and delivering technical training within the oil & gas industry, specifically supporting maintenance disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of Production and Midstream maintenance operations.
- Experience with competency management systems and workforce qualification programs.
- Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and adult learning principles.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS), including reporting, metrics, and system administration.
- Strong understanding of SSHE principles and operational training requirements.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with field personnel, management, and technical subject matter experts.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence organizational stakeholders without direct authority.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.
- Experience supporting global or enterprise-wide training programs.
- Experience managing learning programs and vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of GOTS, GMT, or similar global training platforms.
- Experience developing technical curriculum for maintenance craft professionals.
- Strong analytical skills with experience creating training metrics, dashboards, and compliance reports.
- Experience facilitating both classroom and field-based technical instruction.
