Maintenance Tech III

About the role

The Maintenance Technician III position oversees the workflow of maintenance interns and maintenance work performed by production personnel qualified to assist with maintenance. This role is responsible for installing and repairing various types of industrial machinery and equipment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair electrical systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components for industrial machinery and equipment
• Inspect mechanical work before operation
• Notify appropriate parties to order supplies when quantities of frequently used items are low
• Ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner
• Conduct training for maintenance interns and some production workers
• Ensure maintenance work performed complies with BRC, GMP, and OSHA standards

Requirements

• Post-secondary technical training and education required
• Strong working knowledge of electrical wiring (3+ years of experience)
• Experience with soldering and welding equipment
• Programming and troubleshooting PLC control systems
• Experience with mechanical systems and calibration of electronic and analog measuring and recording instruments
• Proficiency in using two-way radios, telephones, paging system, PC, Microsoft® Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
• Knowledge of Maintenance Guru inventory management software
• Ability to use timekeeping equipment, copying, and other office machines and equipment
• Flexibility to work overtime and on weekends as required
