About the role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Trainer to lead Crusoe's workforce development initiatives. This role involves both hands-on training and strategic management of our training programs, including sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, and the assembly of modular data centers. The role impacts employee retention and engagement, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive technical training program for various manufacturing roles, from new hires to experienced employees.
  • Create structured learning paths aimed at upskilling the workforce and supporting internal mobility.
  • Directly train employees on core manufacturing processes, including sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, electrical component assembly, and switchgear integration.
  • Develop engaging training materials, such as video tutorials, written manuals, and hands-on exercises, and update them regularly.
  • Implement a system for assessing employee skills and knowledge through practical tests and certifications.
  • Work closely with department managers to identify skill gaps and future training needs.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Learning & Development to integrate new tools and company-wide initiatives.
  • Provide clear opportunities for growth and recognition to support internal mobility and career progression.
  • Create a positive new employee culture for all manufacturing employees by partnering with corporate teams to ensure new hires have the necessary tools and systems to be effective on their first day.

Requirements

  • Extensive Manufacturing Experience: At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience with fabrication, electrical assembly, or a related field is essential.
  • Training & Leadership Skills: Proven experience in a training or leadership role. Must be skilled at both designing training programs and delivering effective instruction.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Must be able to work strategically across all manufacturing and corporate functions to deliver cohesive training.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to build a sustainable, scalable training program that supports long-term business goals.
  • Instructional Versatility: Ability to instruct at all levels of employee development.
  • Experience in learning platforms and delivery systems (e.g., WorkRamp, Lattice, LinkedIn Learning).
  • Certifications in training, instruction, or a relevant technical field.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, technology) preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard manufacturing software and tools.

Pay

$82,000-95,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Full-time position.
