About the role
Join Silvus Technologies as a Technical Support Hardware Specialist. This role supports Engineering and Manufacturing teams, ensuring they have the right components at the right time and managing the long-term health of product builds.
Responsibilities
- Procurement & Selection Support: Assist Engineering teams with the identification, selection, and procurement of electronic and mechanical components.
- Career Development: Coordinate with vendors to source parts that meet specific technical requirements and project timelines.
- Lifecycle Management: Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to monitor component lifecycle events (such as End-of-Life or Product Change Notifications).
- Drive the execution of component qualification plans: This includes organizing documentation, tracking testing progress, and ensuring that alternative or new parts meet all quality and functional standards before being integrated into production.
- Documentation & Data Entry: Maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) records and manage technical documentation within our PLM/ERP systems.
- Vendor Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for suppliers to request quotes, lead times, and technical datasheets. Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical administrative or procurement role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Familiarity with electronic components (resistors, ICs, PCBs) and mechanical hardware is highly preferred.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple tracking sheets and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with ERP/PLM software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Knowledge of component lifecycle management and supply chain considerations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.

- Compensation: $33.00 - $38.00 / hourly
