Technical Support Engineer
About the role
The Technical Support Engineer at Sigma is part of a highly recognized team that received the 2024 Stevie Gold Award for Customer Service. Your responsibilities include assisting customers with complex technical issues, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the Sigma platform.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers and pre-sales teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to develop best practices and tools for diagnosing issues and optimizing service performance.
- Create a first-class user experience for the Sigma product through collaboration with cross-functional groups.
- Participate in quarterly projects and perform periodic on-call duties to improve automation and processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (Technical Support, Solutions Engineering, or Software Engineering) at a cloud or SaaS provider.
- Proficiency in SQL, including JOINs, Partitions, Window Functions, Aggregations, CTEs, and sub-queries.
- Experience with data modeling concepts and the ability to create logical visualizations from data.
- A proven track record of building trust with customers and resolving issues quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong desire to build scalable processes for issue resolution and documentation of common patterns.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
Highly Desirable Skills & Experience
- Supporting a cloud service in production.
- Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- Knowledge of GCP or AWS.
- Startup experience.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $90k - $115k annually. Compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. This role is eligible for an annual bonus, stock options, and a comprehensive benefits package.
