Technical Specialist, Data Engineering – Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Owning the end-to-end data pipeline, moving data from OLTP (transactional) systems into OLAP (analytical) environments.
• Designing data models.
• Implementing Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions.
• Building robust ETL/data transformation pipelines.
• Developing a scalable analytics platform using Apache Iceberg, Debezium, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and AWS.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in OLTP-to-OLAP data movement.
• Experience with Apache Iceberg.
• Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC).
• Strong data modeling skills.
• Experience with AWS.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production experience designing and supporting enterprise data platforms.
• Experience with Databricks, PostgreSQL, Python, PySpark, or the financial services industry is a plus but not required.
