Job Summary
Technical Specialist 2 will be involved in all MTA C&D project lifecycle phases, including planning, scheduling, analysis, design, technical specifications, and reports.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the design of various aspects of a project for MTA systems and infrastructure.
- Performs technical and feasibility studies, including analyzing historical data, surveys, reports, and as-builts to create innovative design projects.
- Reviews designs, performs/reviews tests and assessments of equipment, software, and materials, and functions/reviews technical calculations.
- Conducts site visits to obtain existing conditions and correctly identify project design and delivery risks.
- Provides technical field support for system/equipment installation and project construction.
- Embraces mentoring from senior staff.
- Adheres to corporate quality control standards within the area of technical expertise.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in an appropriate technical discipline, Engineering Technology/Engineering Science, or an equivalent subject.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
Competencies
- Knowledge of the capital design and construction process.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and installation practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in current design and engineering software and Microsoft Office.
