Responsibilities

As a Technical Services Driver, you will play a hands-on role in the safe transport and handling of hazardous waste materials across multiple customer sites. This is not a sit-behind-the-wheel role—our drivers are active contributors to each job from start to finish.

  • Operate semi-vans, roll-off trailers, and dump trailers safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
  • Accurately label containers and complete all required hazardous waste documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
  • Communicate professionally with customers at each stop.
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and compliance standards.

A typical day may include:

  • Arriving at the office and collecting job paperwork.
  • Offloading the truck from the previous day, if applicable.
  • Loading required supplies and equipment for the day's jobs.
  • Driving to 2–5 customer sites throughout the day.
  • Labeling drums, sorting waste streams, and completing hazardous waste manifests at each stop.
  • Loading drums onto the truck and proceeding to the next customer.
  • Returning to the office at the end of the day to submit completed paperwork and assist with unloading the truck.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience.
  • Valid CDL Class A license.
  • Hazmat endorsement required.

Pay

Pay for this role starts at $34/hour. CDL drivers with experience can earn more depending on experience. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in an annual bonus plan based on company performance. A $7,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Schedule

  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week; overtime is required.
  • Overnight travel expected approximately 2 times per month (1–2 nights per trip).
