Technical Services Assistant
About the role
The Tucson Convention Center, including the Tucson Arena, Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, and Leo Rich Theater, has an opening for a skilled Technical Services Assistant. Under general supervision of the Technical Services Supervisor, this position will assist in work assignments for all the technical aspects of the facility. The Technical Services Assistant will assist with the day-to-day technical operations and assist with managing all production equipment and department projects. This includes but is not limited to video matrix boards, televisions, lighting, electronic signage, audio system, cameras, and control room equipment. This position will also provide technical support for events, presentations, concerts, and other events as needed. Location: On‑site in Tucson, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Continually assists with all on‑stage activities before, during and after performances.
- Hang and focus lights, assemble staging, and sound systems as per show needs.
- Basic operation of audio, performance lighting, and Daktronics video systems.
- Assist with all lighting and sound checks for efficiency and accuracy.
