Technical Service Specialist (Hot Side)
- .
- Requirements: "To Land This Opportunity" bullet list: experience in electric/gas appliance repair, refrigeration, or HVAC (or relevant training/schooling); all-star communicator proficient in English; quality high speed internet connection at home; confident using computer and navigating programs such as MS Word & Outlook; passionate about troubleshooting and finding innovative solutions; ability to multitask and thrive in fast paced team oriented atmosphere; available to work an 8 hour shift M-F between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (CST) / 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (EST) with flexibility as needed. That's schedule also but we can include schedule later.
- Qualifications: Might overlap with requirements. Could treat "You have experience..." as qualifications. But we need to decide sections: maybe Requirements = experience, skills, etc. Qualifications could be certifications? Not much. Could skip Qualifications if no distinct content.
- Skills: Could list communication, troubleshooting, computer proficiency, multitasking, etc. But we already have those in requirements. Might combine.
- Benefits: The "Perks" list: Parts Town Pride – virtual tour and culture; Quarterly profit-sharing bonus; Hybrid Work schedule; Team member appreciation events and recognition programs; Volunteer opportunities; Monthly IT stipend; Casual dress code; On-demand pay options; All the traditional benefits like health insurance, 401k/401k match, employee assistance programs and time away. Also later: "Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities." So we can combine.
- Pay: The salary range: "$52,409.45– $66,567.99 annually ($25.19 – $32.00 hourly) which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role." So we have pay info.
- Schedule: The shift availability: "You are available to work an 8 hour shift M-F between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (CST) / 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (EST) with flexibility as needed." Also earlier "Hybrid Work schedule" under perks. So schedule section can contain that.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $52,409.45–$66,567.99 annually ($25.19–$32.00 hourly), based on qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay‑for‑performance company; in addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit‑sharing program and an annual bonus depending on the role.
Schedule:Schedule
Expected work schedule is an 8‑hour shift Monday‑Friday between 7:00 AM‑7:00 PM (CST) / 8:00 AM‑8:00 PM (EST), with flexibility as needed. A hybrid work arrangement is also offered.
We must ensure we didn't repeat schedule info in Requirements; we could remove the schedule bullet from Requirements to avoid duplication. But the requirement list includes availability; we could keep it there and not have separate Schedule section, but we need Schedule section if we have specific content. The instruction: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it. We have schedule content; we can either put it in Requirements or Schedule. To avoid duplication, maybe we move schedule to Schedule section and remove from Requirements. But the requirement list includes availability; we could keep it there and not have Schedule. However we have schedule specifics also in Perks (Hybrid Work schedule). Might be better to have Schedule section with the shift details, and keep Requirements without that bullet. Let's adjust. Thus Requirements bullets: experience, communicator, internet, computer, troubleshooting passion, multitasking. Remove schedule bullet. Now Schedule section: as above. Check that we haven't omitted any substantive info: The "Hybrid Work schedule" appears in Perks; we included hybrid work schedule in Benefits (as bullet) and also in Schedule section (mention hybrid work arrangement). That's okay but could be duplication. However we can keep hybrid work schedule in Benefits and mention hybrid work arrangement in Schedule as a note; it's not duplication of exact same sentence but similar. Might be okay. We must ensure we didn't include boilerplate: removed EEO paragraph, removed "See What We’re All About" fluff? Actually we kept some company culture in About the role? We didn't include that; we only included role description. The initial fluff about company values etc is not role-specific; we can omit. The instruction: Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. The company culture and values might be considered substantive? But they are not directly about the role; they are about company. The instruction says to reformat a job posting into clean HTML; we should preserve all substantive information. However we can decide to keep some company overview if it's substantive. But the instruction also says "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." The company overview could be a section like "About the company" but not in the prescribed headings list. The headings list is limited to those specific headings; we shouldn't add other headings. So we should fit company overview into existing sections if appropriate. The "About the role" heading is for role description; we could add a brief sentence about company values there? But that might be mixing. However the instruction says "Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it) and do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a shortor drop it." It doesn't forbid adding other content under those headings. So we could include some company culture under About the role or Benefits. But we already have Benefits covering many perks. The company values and recognition could be part of Benefits or maybe we could add a short paragraph under About the role about the company's growth and recognition. That seems substantive. Let's incorporate: Under About the role, after role description, add a sentence: "Parts Town is the fastest‑growing distributor of restaurant equipment, HVAC and residential appliance parts, recognized on the Inc. 5000 list for 15 consecutive years, Crain’s Fast 50 ten times, and a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace for four years." That is substantive. We must ensure we don't repeat later. We'll keep that. Now check for any other substantive info: "After completing the onboarding process, you will also have an opportunity to earn all Commercial Food Service Equipment Service Association (CFESA) certifications." Already included. "Provide technical support to end users and field technicians over the phone and/or via email (30+ cases per day)" included. "Maintain all customer call information into a company database to better assist future inquiries" included. "Work closely with manufacturers to recommend engineering changes and document equipment/component failure rates" included. "To Land This Opportunity" bullet list we adapted. "About Your Future Team" description: we could include that under Benefits or maybe a separate section but not in headings list. Could incorporate into Benefits as "Team member appreciation events and recognition programs" already there; but the description about team being experienced, passionate, etc is
