Technical Service Representative I
About the role
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the construction industry, with 2 years in technical support of a building material or product preferred. Fluency in a second language is preferred, and physical strength to lift and carry at least 50 pounds frequently is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical service to architects, contractors, and distributors to advise on proper material selection for specific applications.
- Review architectural blueprints, details, and specifications to advise on proper material selection for specific applications.
- Draft specifications and details for architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors.
- Prepare technical documents and literature for architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors.
- Conduct seminars for architects, distributors, contractors, and other construction professionals.
- Investigate and settle customer service and product complaints diplomatically and professionally within authorized limits.
- Handle input and requests from sales and field personnel and update job files.
- Identify and forward leads to the sales department.
- Maintain professional conduct.
Requirements
This position requires an individual with technical and customer service experience in the construction industry. Physical strength to lift and carry at least 50 pounds frequently is necessary, along with knowledge of architecture and construction practices and materials. Fluency in a second language is preferred, and knowledge of LATICRETE products and applications is beneficial. Technical communication and presentation abilities are also essential, including the ability to work under short notice.
Skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Intermediate knowledge of and functional proficiency in ERP and CRM systems; Oracle EnterpriseOne and SalesForce1 CRM system preferred.
