Technical Service Representative I
About the role
The ideal candidate will support the installation and use of physical building materials. They should have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the construction industry, with 2 years in technical support of a building material or product preferred. Fluency in a second language is preferred, and they must possess physical strength to lift and carry at least 50 pounds frequently. Knowledge of architecture and construction practices and materials, as well as LATICRETE products and applications, is essential. Technical communication and presentation abilities, including the ability to work under short notice, are also required.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical service to architects, contractors, and distributors to advise on proper material selection for specific applications.
- Review architectural blueprints, details, and specifications to advise on proper material selection for specific applications.
- Draft specifications and details for architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors.
- Prepare technical documents and literature for architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors.
- Conduct seminars for architects, distributors, contractors, and other construction professionals.
- Investigate and settle customer service and product complaints diplomatically and professionally within authorized limits.
- Handle input and requests from sales and field personnel and update job files.
- Identify and forward leads to the sales department.
- Maintain professional conduct.
Requirements
This position requires an individual with technical and customer service experience in the construction industry. Physical strength to lift and carry minimum of 50 pounds frequently, knowledge of architecture and construction practices and materials, and knowledge of LATICRETE products and applications are essential. Fluency in a second language is preferred, and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ERP, and CRM systems (Oracle EnterpriseOne and SalesForce1 CRM system preferred) is required.
