Technical SEO Specialist

Role Overview

Matter Solutions is an SEO agency based in Australia. We are seeking a Technical SEO Specialist to conduct audits and implement fixes for clients globally.

Responsibilities

• Run technical SEO audits following Ben’s methodology, which is provided through training.
• Diagnose and address issues such as crawl, indexation, site speed, structured data, and on-page problems across client websites.
• Implement fixes directly in WordPress, including code-level changes, theme/plugin issues, schema markup, redirects, and site speed improvements.
• Add and optimize content within WordPress, such as images, internal links, formatting, and more.
• Use SEO tools like Ahrefs and Google Search Console to identify issues and verify that fixes have resolved them.
• Collaborate with the content and guest posting teams to ensure technical work aligns with broader SEO objectives.
• Work with your Team Lead to enhance audit workflows, checklists, and processes over time.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
• A diploma in computer engineering is preferred, but a strong background in web development (HTML/CSS/JS, WordPress/PHP) is also considered.
