About the Role
The Technical Security Specialist will be an integral part of the Trulieve Security Department, reporting to the Area Manager. This role focuses on research, preparation, and analysis of information needed to document findings. The specialist will also handle the installation, repair, and maintenance of security controls, alarm devices, and cameras. Travel to assigned locations, which may include overnight stays, is required.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical advisor on security threats to operations, recommending mitigation devices, systems, and procedures.
- Assist with security submissions of required diagrams, drawings, and designs as needed or requested.
- Respond to and communicate company asset loss, facility response, damage, theft, or other organizational needs.
- Maintain logs and written documents for auditing purposes.
- Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of security controls, alarm devices, and cameras.
Requirements
- 1 or more years of hands-on technician work experience.
- 1 or more years in a Security Operations environment (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CAD software such as Bluebeam Revu, Visio, Adobe, or similar.
- Strong communication, conflict management, de-escalation, people management, reporting, critical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Awareness of cybersecurity and network principles (preferred).
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and a clear driving record.
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and transport such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Able to work seated or standing for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Use hands and fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, or pinch frequently or constantly to complete tasks.
- Visual acuity (with or without job aids) to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and inspecting small parts or details. Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more in both day and night/dark conditions.
