Technical Section Leader

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies, safe work practices, prevent injury to yourself and other associates
• Report any unsafe work condition or any work-related injury to your supervisor immediately
• Actively participate in product development and production of sample yarns on available equipment
• Inspect, repair, or replace machine parts as scheduled or when major breakdowns occur
• Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts. Notify supply room coordinator when parts need to be ordered
• Work with shift technicians when necessary to troubleshoot and solve machine problems
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance
• Line level, dismantle and erect machinery as needed
• Computer experience required, including Excel software programs
• Maintain good housekeeping
• Ensure all equipment compressed air and electrical connections are in good working order
• Perform other technical duties as directed by the manufacturing manager

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a leadership and/or supervisory role is strongly preferred
• Textile Manufacturing experience or General Manufacturing experience preferred
• MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel)
• A leader in Safety and Quality among peers
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to speak in a public setting
• Ability to multi-task and handle varied manufacturing functions and priorities
• Strong bias for action

Pay

Pay Rate: $32.41/hour
