Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the team in executing planned sprint activities.
- Facilitate and lead all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Retrospectives, and Reviews/Demos, using relevant metrics and data to drive continuous improvement.
- Actively remove impediments by resolving blocking issues related to feature development, build and dependency challenges, operational support conflicts, and process.
- Provide timely status, risk, and dependency reporting to the Release Train Engineer and management, including sprint execution, team availability, and issues impacting delivery.
- Design, develop, document, configure, test, and debug applications and frameworks across the full software development life cycle, serving as a key contributor to system enhancements and new features.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, refactoring, debugging, and test creation.
- Assist with deployment, diagnosis, and resolution of critical issues in lab and operational systems as required.
- Collaborate with and mentor junior team members to meet sprint commitments and project milestones.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional internal teams, stakeholders, and, when necessary, external partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 4-8 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 2-6 years of prior experience.
- Significant knowledge of Java with substantial hands-on programming experience.
- Significant experience with Web development and commonly used front-end tools and languages (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Significant experience with unit testing tools such as Junit and Mockito.
- Experience with RESTful API, JSON, XML, XSD.
- Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Security, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or Subversion.
- Experience with common development tools and IDEs (Eclipse, VS Code, etc.).
- Experience working as a Scrum Master within the Agile Scrum framework.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to obtain SF-85 Public Trust (Tier 2) suitability determination.
- US citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of or experience with AI-assisted coding (Claude Code, Codex etc.).
- Knowledge of or experience with microservices and cloud-based environments.
- Knowledge of or experience with Python programming language.
- Knowledge of or experience with Ansible playbooks and YAML.
- Knowledge of or experience with Linux shell scripting.
- Knowledge of or experience with MongoDB.
- Knowledge of air traffic control and flight services ATMC.
