Technical Scrum Master

About the role

On our team, you’ll apply your functional knowledge to coach a development team to focus on sprint goals, ensuring the project is successfully progressed. You’ll apply basic scrum principles and concepts to resolve routine problems. Using tools like JIRA, you’ll strengthen sustainable process improvements to help your team accomplish sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.

In this role, you’ll directly impact the Department of Defense (DoD) by helping drive the development of a real-time enterprise data and AI system. This is an opportunity to grow your experience in scrum software development, AI/ML project management, and tactical planning and delivery while developing and contributing to a variety of project solutions that will improve national security.

Responsibilities

• Coach a development team to focus on sprint goals and ensure successful project progression
• Apply basic scrum principles and concepts to resolve routine problems
• Strengthen sustainable process improvements using tools like JIRA
• Facilitate sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives
• Drive the development of a real-time enterprise data and AI system for the DoD
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and solutions
• Perform on-time multi-enclave cloud and on-prem deployments for a high-functioning team of at least 20 developers

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with software development in a professional or academic environment
• Experience with project management tools
• Experience with JIRA and version control, including Git
• Knowledge of cloud, data, DevOps or CI/CD, multi-enclave deployments, and AI tools
• Ability to identify risks, bottlenecks, and solutions
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Scrum framework, events, and Agile principles
• Excellent active listening, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to provide technical assistance to IT development teams
• Excellent interpersonal skills to successfully interact with clients, engineers, and managers
• Master's degree
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Pay

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
