Technical Sales Specialist

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Learn and understand company product line (industrial packaging and conveying equipment) to correctly quote and sell the appropriate equipment for a customer’s application.
• Quote and sell conveyor parts.
• Assist with conveyor service inquiries.
• AutoCAD experience recommended but not required.
• Keep a professional and positive attitude with both customers and fellow employees.
• Achieve annual goals set by sales manager.
• Be at your desk to take sales calls.
• Return quotes over the telephone or e-mail in a timely manner of receiving inquiry.
• Record quotes in the quote log.
• Enter purchase orders within 24 hours of receiving an order.
• Price and enter orders correctly.
• Follow up on outstanding machine quotes on a monthly basis and update quote log.
• Follow up on outstanding & overdue part & machine orders for customer.
• Work with regional sales contact or distributor.
• Be willing to travel occasionally (sales trips, trade shows) as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
