About the role
The Technical Sales Manager will report to the Director of Sales and will have an onsite work structure in Creedmoor, NC.
Responsibilities
- Maximize the value of all product lines by engaging with customers, developing leads and opportunities and capturing orders.
- Create and lead sales campaigns, expand customer knowledge, effectively extend the usable lifetime of the product lines, increase organic sales.
- Educate customers/DOD/ Government agencies regarding product portfolio.
- Negotiate proposals; collate in-service Fleet Intelligence; manage customer quotations and orders and ensure on time Order Deliveries.
- Prepare and deliver proposals within the Ontic authorization limit for approval, including TINA Packages.
- Forecast future sales & opportunities for pipeline reviews and report out to BU Lead and Head of Sales & Marketing.
- Identify areas for internal sales growth of pre-existing / current license agreements.
- Manage Quote Follow up through phone, email, and face to face meetings.
- Manage Dynamics CRM Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities and Sales Pipeline.
- Develop customer meeting & trip reports, weekly sales highlights and other monthly reports as required for the sales team and business unit.
- Develop an understanding of the customer’s product demands and order trends.
- Use critical thinking and advanced problem-solving capabilities to coordinate resolution of customer issues regarding product, pricing, lead-times, or quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the Aerospace/Aviation industry.
- 3+ years’ experience in technical sales, or an equivalent role working with demanding customers while driving top-line growth.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage senior-level clients and internal teams.
- A proactive, accountable mindset with a track record of achieving ambitious sales targets.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally to gain the confidence of stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of working in a small, flexible team and able to work on one’s own initiative.
- Must be able to independently work and travel within a region or internationally to effect positive outcomes for the business.

$110,000 - $140,000/year, based on experience.
