Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts, offering technical guidance throughout equipment selection and system design.
- Partner with engineering and production teams to develop customized processing solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Interpret RFQs, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and equipment specs to recommend the most effective configurations.
- Conduct on-site and virtual consultations with plant managers, engineers, and procurement teams.
- Develop and present detailed technical proposals, including system layouts, drawings, performance data, and cost estimates.
- Manage the full sales cycle: lead qualification, technical consultation, pricing, contract negotiation, order processing, and handoff to project management.
- Provide ongoing technical support to ensure solutions align with performance expectations and operational goals.
- Build long-term client relationships through trust, reliability, and a consultative approach.
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and new sectors.
- Represent Deutsche at trade shows, site visits, and industry events.
- Track and manage sales activities, pipelines, and customer interactions via CRM.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration and product training to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field) required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales or applications engineering, particularly with industrial equipment or capital projects.
- Proven ability to read and interpret P&IDs, RFQs, PFDs, and layout drawings.
- Strong technical understanding of fluid dynamics, CIP systems, pumps, tanks, and process equipment.
- Experience developing technical proposals and cost estimates for custom-engineered systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office; CAD or process modeling software experience is a plus.
- Willingness to travel (25–40%) for client visits, trade shows, and site consultations.
