Technical Recruiter

About the role

Mach Industries is a rapidly growing defense technology company founded in 2022. Our mission is to develop next-generation autonomous defense platforms that enhance the strategic capabilities of the United States and its allies. As a Technical Recruiter, you will play a crucial role in scaling our engineering and manufacturing teams by identifying, engaging, and hiring exceptional technical talent.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering and leadership teams to define role requirements and create compelling job descriptions.
• Source, screen, and manage candidates across multiple channels, including LinkedIn, technical forums, and industry events.
• Drive the full recruitment lifecycle — from outreach and interviews to offer negotiation and onboarding coordination.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-priority and hard-to-fill technical roles.
• Implement scalable recruiting processes and tools to enhance hiring efficiency and candidate experience.
• Serve as a strategic advisor on talent market trends, compensation benchmarking, and candidate engagement best practices.
• Represent Mach Industries as a brand ambassador at recruiting events, conferences, and university partnerships.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical recruiting, business operations, or sales, ideally within deep tech or hard tech verticals OR Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience in recruiting, business operations, or sales.
• Demonstrated success sourcing and closing technical candidates in competitive markets.
• Strong understanding of engineering roles and organizational structures.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.
• Obsession with building excellent teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience recruiting in startup or high-growth environments.
• Familiarity with Department of Defense contracting or cleared hiring processes.
• Proficiency with recruiting platforms such as Ashby and LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Passion for emerging defense technology and innovation in national security.
• Proven ability to build and scale recruitment processes from the ground up.

Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
