About the role

First Resonance accelerates the speed and reliability of hardware development for companies manufacturing the next generation of hardware products. This includes space exploration, electric airplanes, autonomous vehicles, nuclear reactors, robotics, and more. We are a group of software, hardware, and manufacturing engineers that are bringing the best of modern UX and data science to an industry that has been overly rigid in its innovation. We are removing the barriers preventing radical advancement by providing tools to manufacturing engineers and operators to move information more freely, collaborate with their teams more easily, and use the power of data to predict problems and provide insights that result in better hardware quality and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles: sourcing, screening, coordinating, and closing
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, build scorecards, and calibrate on hiring bar
  • Proactively source candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, referrals, and community networks — you're not waiting for inbound
  • Run structured interview processes and lead calibration sessions with cross-functional teams
  • Manage and maintain ATS hygiene — pipeline health, conversion rates, and time-to-fill data
  • Represent First Resonance authentically to candidates, clearly communicating our mission, culture, and opportunity
  • Support hiring across corporate functions as capacity and business needs allow
  • Contribute to employer branding efforts: job descriptions, outreach templates, and interview guides

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, in-house or agency
  • Background in regulated or hard-tech industries (aerospace, defense, energy, manufacturing)
  • Demonstrated success hiring software engineers, product managers, and other technical profiles
  • Strong active sourcing skills — you build pipelines, not just manage inbound
  • Experience managing an ATS and using recruiting data to improve process
  • Clear, direct communicator; candidates remember their experience with you
  • Comfortable with ambiguity — this is a startup, and the playbook is still being written

Nice to have

  • Experience recruiting Forward Deployed Engineers or other customer-facing technical roles
  • Experience building recruiting infrastructure from scratch: scorecards, interview kits, calibration frameworks
  • Familiarity with technical assessment tools

Compensation Range

Compensation Range: $100K - $125K
