About the role

Harmar Mobility seeks a Technical Publications Specialist to support the creation of clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for our mobility device lifts and accessibility products. This role collaborates with engineering, product management, and quality teams to ensure documentation is both technically accurate and accessible.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit technical manuals, procedures, and product documentation
• Translate complex technical information into clear, concise language
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure content accuracy
• Create and maintain technical specifications and test documentation
• Produce and manage both digital and print documentation
• Ensure consistency in terminology, tone, and formatting across all materials
• Maintain and update documentation, including version control and revision

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical writing or a related field
• Strong ability to simplify complex concepts for a wide audience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with documentation processes, templates, and version control systems
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) to enhance productivity
• Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe InDesign is a plus

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience in technical writing or a related field is required.
