Technical Project Manager II (Aviation/C4I Systems)
About the Role
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Project Manager who embraces challenges and is a motivated self-starter. This individual must be able to provide attention to detail while maintaining a perspective aimed at making the program successful. The selected candidate will lead a team of subject matter experts in fulfilling technical requirements for the Airborne Systems Integration (ASI) Division at Webster Field in St. Inigoes, MD. The team will support both urgent short-duration projects and longer-term requirements, including procurement, fabrication, integration, testing and evaluation, installation, and fielding support for communication platforms.
The Project Manager oversees and manages technical project(s) and serves as a liaison between the BAE Systems contract management team and the government project leads. This position is located in St. Inigoes, MD, and requires the applicant to be currently residing in or willing to relocate to Southern Maryland. No relocation assistance is available.
Responsibilities
- Lead a project, or portions of multiple projects, within established program guidelines.
- Manage the quadruple constraint of scope, schedule, budget, and quality for assigned projects.
- Liaise with customers and other contractors.
- Develop or assist with the development of project cost estimates.
- Coordinate with functional managers for resources.
- Execute processes and procedures to meet management and project requirements.
- Develop briefs and/or reports on the status of assigned projects.
- Ensure quality assurance requirements are met.
- Initiate corrective action to support task problems and failures.
- Monitor work and expenditures to ensure schedule and budget are maintained.
- Provide technical and analytical guidance to the project team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Technical discipline and at least 8 years of related experience, OR
- Associate degree and at least 10 years of related experience, OR
- High school diploma and at least 12 years of related experience.
- Project management experience.
- Familiarity or experience with military communications systems and/or aircraft platforms.
- Technical project management experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in an Engineering field.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $132,962 – $226,035. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
