Technical Project Manager, Global Operations (Reagent Assay/Hardware Development, NPI)

About the role

As the Technical Project Manager, Global Operations for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, you will drive continuous improvement, global standardization, and embedding of our project and portfolio delivery framework within the Global Ops organization. You will build strong project management capabilities across teams while managing one or more project portfolios and projects. This role is part of the Global Operations PMO & Strategy Team, reporting to the Director, Global Operations PMO and Strategy, and is based in Chaska, Minnesota as an on-site position (5 days a week).

Responsibilities

• Take accountability for delivering multi-disciplinary, global operations projects/programs that deliver critical and strategic business benefits.
• Monitor, measure, and coach the execution of several projects to achieve program objectives.
• Plan and design technology transfer/NPI projects/programs, identifying success criteria, setting controls, and ensuring appropriate program infrastructure, governance, and change management processes.
• Proactively monitor and report on progress through an established governance framework.
• Establish and utilize effective risk management and mitigation practices by identifying, assessing, tracking, and communicating risks.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, and Operations stakeholders to define innovative, compliant opportunities that increase efficiencies in design change and supplier qualification processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-related field with 9+ years of experience in a manufacturing organization, or a master’s degree with 7+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years of the same experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading medium to large-scale technology transfer/NPI projects and design change programs.
• Proven ability to manage design changes and technology transfer projects in the Medical Device or Diagnostics regulatory environment, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and global standards.
• Proficiency in problem-solving methods and best-practice manufacturing techniques, including lean six sigma tools.
• Ability to execute large cross-functional projects/programs, meeting quality, scope, cost, and time targets.
• Approximately 25% global travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma experience, certified Kaizen leadership, and demonstrated capability in problem-solving.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Smartsheet, MIRO, Excel, and project management software.

Pay

The annual salary range for this role is $135,000 - $145,000, with eligibility for bonus/incentive pay.

Schedule

This is an on-site role in Chaska, Minnesota, requiring 5 days a week in the office.
