Technical Project Manager, Global Operations (Reagent Assay/Hardware Development, NPI)
About the role
The Technical Project Manager, Global Operations for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the continuous improvement, global standardization, and embedding of our project and portfolio delivery framework with the Global Ops organization. They will build strong project management capabilities across teams, manage one or more project portfolios and projects, and take accountability and control of the delivery of multi-disciplinary, Global Operations projects/programs that deliver critical and strategic business benefits.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, measure, and coach the execution of several projects to achieve program objectives.
- Plan and design technology transfer/NPI projects/programs, identifying success criteria, setting controls, and ensuring appropriate program infrastructure, governance, and change management processes are in place while proactively monitoring and reporting on progress through an established governance framework.
- Establish and utilize effective risk management and mitigation practices by properly identifying, assessing, tracking, and communicating risks.
- Collaborate, challenge, and define innovative, compliant opportunities to increase the efficiencies and effectiveness of design change and supplier qualification processes, partnering constructively with Quality, Regulatory, and Operations stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in the successful creation and management of a PMO.
- Experience in leading medium to large-scale technology transfer/NPI projects and design change programs.
- Proven ability to manage medium/large design changes and technology transfer projects in the Medical Device or Diagnostics regulatory environment, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and global standards.
- Proficiency in problem-solving methods and best-practice manufacturing techniques, including lean six sigma tools.
- Ability to execute large cross-functional projects/programs, meeting quality, scope, cost, and time targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-related field with preference for 9+ years of experience with a manufacturing organization, or a master’s degree with preference for 7+ years, or a PhD with preference for 4+ years of the same experience.
- Project Management: 5+ years of experience in leading medium to large-scale technology transfer/NPI projects and design change programs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Proven ability to manage medium/large design changes and technology transfer projects in the Medical Device or Diagnostics regulatory environment, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and global standards.
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma tools.
- Technical Leadership: Ability to execute large cross-functional projects/programs, meeting quality, scope, cost, and time targets.

Pay
The annual salary range for this role is $135,000 - $145,000 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
Schedule
This is an on-site role in Chaska, Minnesota. It is a full-time position requiring approximately 25% travel.
