Application Deadline: 2 October 2026 | Department: OPS‑Information Technology | Employment Type: Permanent – Full Time | Location: Remote | Reporting To: SVP, Chief Technology Officer | Compensation: $105,000 – $135,000 per year

Role Overview

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) serves as the primary interface between JED's Salesforce delivery team and every department across the organization. This role owns intake, requirements definition, and stakeholder management for all CRM‑related projects and requests, translating organizational needs into clearly scoped, ready‑to‑work deliverables for the Salesforce team. Working closely with the CRM Strategy & Operations Lead, the TPM ensures consistent, well‑managed project support for departments such as ACE (Fundraising and School Partnerships), Marketing & Communications, School Programs, and Product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Intake, Requirements & Scoping: Serve as the first point of contact for incoming requests; schedule and facilitate scoping meetings; gather requirements and translate them into acceptance criteria, user stories, and tasks; define “done” and “ready to work” criteria.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Communicate proactively about readiness and timeline changes; host weekly office hours; manage expectations and provide transparent visibility into intake status; represent IT at the monthly Sync meeting.
  • Project & Delivery Coordination: Participate in daily standups, backlog refinement, and sprint planning; maintain the Asana delivery board; manage day‑to‑day project tracking, sequencing, and status; coordinate handoffs to the Salesforce Administration team.
  • Functional Ownership: Own the intake, requirements‑definition, and stakeholder‑management function for JED’s CRM/Salesforce environment; ensure health and clarity of the project pipeline.
  • Decision Rights & Collaboration: Independently decide on request readiness, sequencing, and board structure; collaborate with the CRM Strategy & Operations Lead and Salesforce Administration team; seek input for architecture, broader prioritization, and scope changes.

Requirements

  • Extremely well‑versed in Salesforce with strong working knowledge of its capabilities, limitations, and common configurations (hands‑on experience preferred).
  • 3–5 years of project management or business analyst experience within a Salesforce, CRM, or nonprofit fundraising/development environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technology or CRM projects from intake through delivery, including requirements gathering, acceptance criteria definition, and stakeholder expectation management.
  • Experience tracking and reporting on growth metrics such as donor growth or fundraising performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage competing stakeholder priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana).
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a technical delivery team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
  • Salesforce certification (e.g., Administrator, Business Analyst).
  • Direct experience working in a nonprofit development or fundraising department.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, and Gearset.

Success Metrics

  • Intake & Delivery Health: Requests move from intake to “ready to work” within a defined timeframe and the delivery board remains accurate.
  • Stakeholder Trust & Expectation Management: Departments report clear understanding of project status and timelines, with reduced off‑process requests.
  • Growth Impact: CRM‑driven initiatives contribute measurably to organizational growth metrics such as donor growth and campaign performance.

Compensation

Salary range: $105,000 – $135,000 per year.
