Technical Project Coordinator Fire/Burg

Primary Function

Complete project coordination duties including, but not limited to, scheduling and communicating with field installation/service technicians, ordering and tracking project materials, directing the installation, maintenance, testing and repair of assorted fire and burglar systems, supporting internal projects personnel for various troubleshooting needs concerning systems operations, hardware and software and operator issues.

Accountability

Reports to and receives direction from assigned Project Manager and Projects Department Lead.

Regular Contacts

Personnel in all departments and customers, as directed.

Position Specifications and Requirements

  • Familiarity with FireLite fire alarm systems, Ademco burglar systems, Genetec, DMP, Bosch and Honeywell
  • Fluency in card access systems, intrusion alarm systems, central station monitoring and energy monitoring systems
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a 2-year College or technical school; or minimum 2 years related field experience
  • Knowledge of local and national fire protection codes
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret job specific SOW schematics, line drawings, user materials, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Good organization and computer skills (Word processing, spreadsheets, database)
