Responsibilities
- Define and execute end-to-end validation milestones, including algorithm model development, hardware testing, prototype software validation, production software readiness, and human factors evaluations.
- Drive alignment and execution across multiple interdependent workstreams—display hardware, testing, software, and architecture—ensuring dependencies are tracked and gaps are closed.
- Proactively manage hardware allocation and device availability to ensure validation timelines are met.
- Continuously assess program risks and implement mitigation plans. Maintain a living risk register with clear owners, impacts, and resolution paths.
- Coincide with engineering teams to communicate program status, including milestone readouts, validation results, risk summaries, and decision requests, to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders through regular reviews and executive summaries.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a technical program manager in hardware/software co-development programs.
- 3+ years of experience in display technology, image processing, algorithm validation, or related electro-optical systems engineering.
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream programs across hardware, firmware, and software teams, with demonstrated ability to anticipate roadblocks and create a path forward.
- Experience managing programs with significant hardware dependencies, including device allocation, prototype build schedules, and test infrastructure coordination.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decisions and assess validation readiness.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting technical status and risk assessments to senior engineering leadership.
- Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous, fast-paced development environments with evolving requirements and tight launch timelines.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the end-to-end development, validation, and execution of display algorithms for our AR/Smart Glasses products. In this role, you will oversee workflows that span algorithm development, software implementation, hardware testing, and prototype validation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that display compensation algorithms meet image quality requirements on real hardware. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with world-class display, optics, and software development teams to deliver exceptional visual experiences in AR/Smart Glasses products.
