About Zlayt AI

Zlayt AI is a litigation automation platform built exclusively for personal injury law. From demand letters and deposition summaries to discovery responses and case analysis, Zlayt equips law firms with intelligent tools that draft faster, think strategically, and deliver results without friction, setup, or compromise. As a fast-growing, founder-funded and backed startup at the intersection of legal tech and AI, we're building the future of how personal injury attorneys work.

About The Role

Zlayt AI is looking for a Technical Project Manager to drive the planning, coordination, and delivery of key product and engineering initiatives. You'll act as the connective tissue between engineering, product, and business stakeholders, ensuring projects move from concept to execution on time, on budget, and with the technical rigor our platform demands. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and wants to help shape how AI-driven legal technology gets built.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution
    • Own end-to-end planning and delivery of technical projects, from scoping and timeline development through launch and post-launch review
    • Break down complex initiatives into clear milestones, deliverables, and actionable tasks
    • Track progress against project plans and adjust as priorities shift
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead cross-functional project teams, keeping engineering, product, and design aligned and accountable
    • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture suited to a fast-moving startup
    • Mentor team members and help remove blockers to keep work moving
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for project status, timelines, and risks across internal teams and leadership
    • Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and business priorities for technical teams
    • Prepare and deliver clear, concise project updates and reporting
  • Risk & Problem Management
    • Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks
    • Develop mitigation plans and drive timely resolution of issues
    • Apply sound judgment and adaptability when priorities or requirements change
  • Budget & Resource Management
    • Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
    • Forecast resource needs and coordinate staffing across concurrent projects
    • Monitor spend against budget and flag variances early

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge with the ability to engage credibly with engineering teams on architecture, timelines, and trade-offs
  • Proven project management experience, ideally managing technical or product-driven projects
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment
  • Experience working in a SaaS environment or with SaaS products
  • Go-to-market (GTM) experience, including cross-functional coordination around product launches
  • Prior startup experience, with comfort operating with limited resources and evolving priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline); or equivalent practical experience considered
  • Project Management and other relevant certifications are a plus

Why Join Zlayt AI

  • Be part of an early-stage team building category-defining AI technology for the legal industry
  • High-ownership role with direct impact on product direction and company growth
  • Collaborative, mission-driven culture solving real problems for personal injury law firms

Benefits

  • Paid time off (20 days) and 12 paid holidays
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance (100% of base medical plan covered by the firm)
  • Simple IRA with up to 3% company match
  • Ongoing training and mentoring opportunities

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship and must be eligible for direct W2 employment (this position is not available on a 1099 or C2C basis).
