Technical Program Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic professional to take on a hybrid role as a Technical Program Manager (TPM), Scrum Master, and Product Owner for a Databricks-based data platform project. The role involves driving end-to-end delivery, managing Agile ceremonies, and owning the product roadmap while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end delivery of data engineering and analytics programs on Databricks
• Manage project timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication
• Cross data engineering, analytics, and business teams
• Ensure alignment with business goals and delivery milestones
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives)
• Remove impediments and ensure smooth sprint execution
• Track sprint progress, velocity, and team performance
• Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement
• Define and manage the product backlog, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Prioritize features based on business value and stakeholder inputs
• Work closely with stakeholders to define roadmap and release plans
• Ensure clarity of requirements for the engineering team

Technical & Functional Requirements

• Strong understanding of Databricks ecosystem (Delta Lake, Spark, Notebooks, Workflows)
• Experience in data engineering, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing concepts
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
• Understanding of data governance, security, and performance optimization

Required Skills

• Proven experience as TPM / Scrum Master / Product Owner in data projects
• Strong knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables
• Experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Data Lakehouse architecture
• Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Certification in Scrum (CSM / PSM) or Product Ownership (CSPO)
• PMP or equivalent program management certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
